BIENNALE OF VENICE
THE 13TH INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE EXHIBITION
'COMMON GROUND'
29TH AUGUST > 25TH NOVEMBER 2012
The 13th International Architecture Exhibition, directed by David Chipperfield and entitled Common Ground, will run in Venice from 29th August through 25th November 2012 (Preview on August 27th-28th).The exhibition will be held in the 29 national pavilions at the Giardini, which in themselves form a kind of anthology of important 20th-century architecture and where this year there will also be the rennovated “Palazzo delle Esposizioni”. The other main venue is the Venice Arsenal, in its former ropeworks and the new Italian Pavilion overlooking the Giardino delle Vergini.
The first Architecture Biennale was held in 1980 and it has rapidly become one of the most important exhibitions in the world. This year's official side events will be on show in a variety of locations around the city. Don’t miss this opportunity to visit these beautiful, hidden-away places, which are usually closed to the public.
Hotel Flora is the ideal place to come back and relax after a day spent in the enchanting world of the Biennale of Venice.
