During the renovation of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, masterpieces from the permanent collection will be on view in the rooms usually dedicated to temporary exhibitions. The installation of Peggy’s works in the rooms of the temporary exhibition space chronicles the avant-gardes that left an indelible mark on the history of art in the 20th century, from Picasso to Pollock, traversing cornerstones of Modernism such as Futurism (with the works of the Gianni Mattioli Collection), the pittura metafisica of Giorgio de Chirico, European abstraction (Kandinsky and Mondrian), and Surrealism (Miró, Dalí, Magritte and others).
