This barchino experience spurs from Serena Marin’s deep love for the Venetian Lagoon and her desire to share its quiet beauty through personal, authentic boat experiences. Raised among the rich textures and scents of her family’s boatyard on the Giudecca—where her parents, Venetian artisans, have long crafted nautical upholstery—Serena grew up with a profound connection to the water and the stories it holds.
Through her storytelling, her care for every guest, and her deep respect for nature and tradition, Serena creates meaningful, immersive experiences and real connections—a chance to offer visitors an intimate glimpse into the lesser-known corners of Venice
Each tour departs from the island of Giudecca at the Consorzio Cantieristica Minore Veneziana. We will give you detailed instructions on how to reach the departure point.
We’ll sail past the islands of La Grazia, San Clemente, and Poveglia, then continue along the coast of Lido Island until we reach Lazzaretto Vecchio, the Island of the Armenians, and San Servolo.
These are all small islands, but each holds unique stories that have contributed to Venice’s extraordinary history. We’ll return by skirting the islands of San Giorgio and Giudecca.
